What I Wore...a couple days

By now you know, last year I joined Lindsey at the Pleated Poppy in linking up with her quest to make more of an effort on herself each day.
Being a stay at home mom doesn't mean pj pants are acceptable all day fashion!
What started as making a bigger effort in my daily wardrobe at home, has become a daily fashion show of my life.
It's fun to get dressed. I'm happier. It's a beautiful quest.
Thanks for joining me for another week with Lindsey and sometimes
Momma Go Round,
Not much to share with you this week.
Sunday- Started at church
I need some help on this one.
The denim dress came with a denim sash, which immediately ditched. The plan has always been to change out the silver buttons, maybe tailor the skirt a bit?
What do you think?
I feel a little Rachel Berry in these shots. Could be the tights and flats.
Denim dress- Macy's- years ago
Bloom belt- The Pleated Poppy
Gray pattern tights-Target
Silver flower flats-gift from Gramm
Yellow flower clip-NY and Co
Sunday afternoon- I had a completely different outfit on (which was super fun and hippie-esque), then we got to my friends house and I opened an amazing bag of birthday goodness and changed from head to toe.
Did I mention she just got back from Mexico and picked up an incredible tan? Sheesh- insanely tall, gorgeously tan- it's hard to look good standing next to Angie!
Navy and white stripe top and fabulous Modern Jeans-J Crew Outlet. Green wedges-shop in Athens, GA
Love, love, love this new slouchy top!
 Purple necklace- new from Ang-
Wooden ring-Eclectic Elegance
Mint checked button down-Target
Gray tank and Jeans-American Eagle
Stretchy belt-Forever 21
My favorite Caramel boots-hand me down from ShopGal
last week I told you I love aprons.
I do.
and I LOVE them.
Tonight for dinner, I wore my new Anthropologie apron
The pockets are fabulous, the pattern is fabulous, trim- yep, fabulous. Just love my new Anthropologie clearance apron.
Beaded necklace-Premier jewelry
dangle earrings-NY and Co
Lots of days at home this week. Cleaning, catching up.
Hoping there is more to share this upcoming week.
Happy Wednesday!

My top THREE favorite comments in no particular order were...

I'm thinking this would make a wonderful team spirit flag for my beautiful car Ruby!!! Forget putting it on my bumper, I couldn't move it from car to car if I put it there. Or maybe I could crochet it onto a blanket. Ooo that sounds like fun!!! They have tags you can attach, so I'm sure a sticker would be a piece of cake, crumb cake!
Hilarious, Allie. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
Michell @ Girl In Air said...
Oh I so would be boring and slap that baby on the back of my CAR!! Or maybe I brake for bloggers would be better.... You know at one point in my life I wanted to make and sell bumper a Flight Attendant I know that lots of Pilots put bumper stickers on their flight bags and had I made one that said 'TSA eat their young' I would have made MILLIONS!! just sayin.....
Michell- this is AWESOME! I agree- Millions. Easy.

What I Wore my BIRTHDAY week

It's no big secret.
I love clothes.
Always have.
But now, thanks to  Lindsey at the Pleated Poppy getting dressed each morning feels like a fashion ADVENTURE.
Laugh. Go ahead, I'll wait.
Are you done?
I know it's corny, but it's TOTALLY true.
What started out as a ho, hum- whatever I stay home with my kids, why dig for the cute stuff in the closet- turned into a full fledged 'How can I make today cuter than yesterday' every morning!
OK, not every morning- but most mornings. And belts- they are my new best friend.
OK, let's get to the fun part.
PS Yes, I'm linking up Lindsey and  Nina at Momma Go Round.
This week Breadwinner tried to help me laugh to loosen up instead of striking the same ole pose. Let's just say, it's gonna be a funny week.
Wednesday- Random cool weather day, working at the Preschool.
first day trying new places to take pics and attempting more natural photographs. Instead- laughter.
You'll notice a trend all week!
Navy/white striped sweater-Old Navy, new coral tank- Birthday present from Mom(aka Gramm),
Jeans- Target, Quickly becoming my favorite belt- $5.80 Forever 21 (Regular price- insane prices there, ladies!)

Thursday- It's my BIRTHDAY! And I made bulletin boards at school. No seriously, we are MAKING them- info to come.

The wind was completely insane by evening. And brrrr so chilly!
New birthday dress and Navy shrug-NY and Co
current least favorite photo EVER (no- thank you wind) and NO I'm not pregnant.
Stupid wind.
the wind just got ridiculous, so we went inside to get true color pics.
what's up with the clenched fists? and FYI- shooting UP, not attractive- no, you may not see my fat face in this picture. Thank you.
Friday-my day. kids went to school. I stayed home to work on giveaway posts and do whatever my heart desired. Yeah, free day. I actually wore a cute dress, but no pics.
Saturday- Breadwinner went flying with a friend. In a real airplane. So crazy to me. I took the girls for free birthday ice cream- Thank you, Coldstone! They chose 'blue', then we went to Target, where Little Sister kindly showed everyone what her ice cream looked like coming back up- projectile style, just in front of the customer service counter. And no- customer service did NOT help, other than to hand me a roll of paper towels. Lovely.
Gorgeous Target International Collection Tucker dress found on 75% off clearance for $9.98 earlier this week- AHH!!! SCORE. I've wanted this since my friend Fashionista picked it up months ago. Happy Birthday week to ME, Caramel belt-Target

Denim crops-American Eagle
Gray flower sandals- NY and Co
New favorite pic. So soft and pretty, minus all the playset tops in the background
Sunday-Church, lunch, and afternoon errands

This is what I wore to church.
I felt a little pin-up-esque.
Target clearance earlier this week- Sandy dress, navy piping
Then we came home from church and I put on an apron to make lunch like I always do- because I love aprons (and this one is new from Shopgal for my birthday!)
Then I felt REALLY pin-up-esque
Breadwinner said I should have worn the apron to church. silly boy.
Still favorite amazing shoes- Charlotte Russe, gift from great friend
Red beaded necklace-Eclectic Elegance, Red flower earrings, Groopdealz,
Antiquey bracelet-NY and Co
Monday-Working hard at school preparing for Open House Wednesday.
I just couldn't pose
and the wind was driving me nuts
White top and black leggings-Target, red belt-?, Turquoise skirt-Old Navy-thrifted by ShopGal (she's so awesome to me!), Black and white polka dot bangle-Eclectic Elegance
super fun turquoise pom pom scarf- Old Navy
Tuesday-Preschool, Open House, still working hard, still windy. Grrr...
I promise this was cute in real life. Breadwinner said so.
Gray wrap, gray tank, black tank-American Eagle
White skirt-Old Navy
Not attractive.
Gold Necklace-Shopgal, same bracelet and earrings as above

So, help a girl out. How do you like to pose for WIWW posts?
Do you like any of this new ridiculousness?
Or should I stick to the standard hand on the hip, lean slightly and smile. Ha!

Don't Forget! You still have a few days left to enter all the amazing birthday giveaways.
Happy Wednesday!

Look- Lindsey made a new button.
So fun.
