Birthday

Mine is coming up...
and if you are wondering what to get me
I'm in love with Lindsey's Bloom Belts.
One of each wouldn't be over kill, would it?

What I Wore

30 BIG weeks ago I joined Lindsey at the Pleated Poppy in linking up with her quest to make more of an effort on herself each day. Just because she works from home, home schools her kids and rarely leaves the house, doesn't mean she should stay in softy pants all day-and neither should I!
What started as making a bigger effort in my daily wardrobe, has become a daily fashion show.
It's fun to get dressed. I'm happier. It's a beautiful quest.
Thanks for joining me for another week with Lindsey and now- Momma Go Round, No Model Lady, and Making the World Cuter. SO many fun fashion link ups! So much inspiration!

I've had this dress since Big Sister was a tiny nursing baby.
A friend of mine helped with a campaign putting together care packages for soldiers overseas. A boutique going out of business donated tons of gorgeous clothes, none of which could be used- so we got first dibs.

 Loving all the ruffles today.
And now behind the scenes....Little Sister usually BEGS for Mommy to 'uppie' her during our little daily photo sessions. Tonight I reached for her, then pretended I was a monster tip toeing closer to her.
Breadwinner snapped a pic. Mommyhood at it's finest!
Thanks for stopping by again!

I Serve a RISEN Savior...

he's in the world today.
I know that he is living, whatever men may say....
HAPPY EASTER!
HE is RISEN!
Today, on the day we celebrate our Savior and his victory over death- remember the empty tomb and rejoice in our SALVATION!
Our girls woke up to small baskets of goodies from Mommy and Daddy and we will hide eggs after naps, but my favorite part of Easter this year?
Listening to Big Sister tell her friend Noah yesterday 'Did you know, Jesus had lots of owies, and died on a cross, but he did it to save us- from our badness. Now, he is alive again!'. Noah said, 'Oh- that's pretty cool'.
Praise God! Jesus is Risen!

29 weeks ago I joined Lindsey at the Pleated Poppy in linking up with her quest to make more of an effort on herself each day. Just because she works from home, home schools her kids and rarely leaves the house, doesn't mean she should stay in softy pants all day-and neither do I!
What started as making a bigger effort in my daily wardrobe, has become a daily fashion show.
It's fun to get dressed. I'm happier. It's a beautiful quest.

It's Coming- Get Ready!

This post brought to you by Express. All opinions are 100% mine.

It's coming. Like it or not, it's just around the corner...

Bathing Suit Season- the dreaded time of year immediately following the blustery, warm comfort food eating, snuggly head to toe clothing wearing, winter season. Yep, it is practically upon us. Time to dust off those 80's aerobic videos, order up your favorite late night workout plan dvd set, or dig out that Wii Fit balance board and get our bodies ready for fun in the sun!

After two kiddos and countless stretch marks, bathing suit season doesn't mean quite what it used to for me. This year, it's all about the fabulous poolside accessories. While on my quest for the perfect pieces for this swimsuit season I learned Express has an entire line of women's swimwear! Did you know? You did? And you've been holding out on me?

How adorable is this neon yellow ruffled bathing suit?!

Express Swimsuit

Or this fun purple striped suit?

Express Swimsuit

These bathing suits are so stinking cute!...but, sadly, not so much on this mama's body.

For me, the perfect swimwear accessory is the Pareo wrap. It comes in several colors and patterns but I'm drawn to the animal print. So out of character for me- but oh so fabulous- don't you think?

Express Swimsuit

With so many different cuts to choose from- monokinis (how's that for a throw back to childhood in the 80s? Oh yes- I did have one. Oh yes- I did love it!), tankinis, super sexy string bikinis- and my favorite Pareo wrap- there are bathing suits or accessories for everyone!

Be sure to surf on over and sign up for Express e-mail and get 15% off your first purchase AND a chance to win one of ten $200 Express gift cards! Hurry-the sweepstakes ends April 21st at 11:59pm EST! Click here for the official sweepstakes rules

What are you waiting for? Click on over and sign up today!

Bathing suit season is coming- and we need to be cute. ;)
