Meet Katie at Paper from Heaven

A sweet friend of mine is hanging out on the blog today, sharing a sweet treat. Tomorrow is her BIRTHDAY!! Be sure to pop over and wish Katie a Happy Birthday! She’s celebrating all weekend, so it’s never too late.

Hi! I’m Katie from PaperFromHeaven or you might know me from my blog RaisingOranges. I’m so glad Meagan invited me over to play at her blog today! I met Meagan over a year ago when we both did our very first handmade market together.
Man can that girl talk…….okay so I admit, I’m the shy one!

A little bit about me……
I’ve been married over 8 years & have 3 boys. I’m getting used to the crazy life of being a chauffeur. With one car I take the hubs to work and our oldest to school every morning, and then pick everyone back up at different times throughout the day. I love DIY projects, baking and cooking {although I feel like I never leave the kitchen!}  I love to have the opportunities to be able to give to others.
After I quit my full time day job to stay at home I started a bakery named “Heaven Baked Sweets”, and then I started sewing…..and I’m still sewing. My shop has transitioned from paper products (hence the name) to cloth diaper covers, to what it is today {organizers for crayons and pencils}.

Because honestly, we all need a little cute in our lives. And as a mom, I really hate when the inside of my purse is filled with loose crayons coloring all over everything.

We, as adults have organizers for the important things in our lives, why shouldn’t our kiddos too???

Now on to the sweet stuff!
With school back in full swing around our house, there’s not much time for fun breakfasts during the week anymore. That doesn’t mean we need to forget all about them.
This is my number 1 breakfast hit on my blog.

Cinnamon Nuggets
{print here}
{ingredients}
2 cans refrigerated biscuits
6 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon milk

{directions}

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt the butter in a small bowl; add in brown sugar, sugar and cinnamon. Cut the biscuits into quarters, and drop them into the mixture and place in well greased muffin pan. You do not need to cover each biscuit with the sugar mixture; the sugar will get all over. I did about a 50/50 split on sugar pieces and plain pieces.
Bake for 10 minutes until tops are golden brown. Use a butter knife to remove from pan.  Mix powdered sugar, vanilla and milk in small bowl until combined. Drizzle over nuggets. Serve warm {because you won’t be able to wait for them to cool down}.

Mmmm…so yummy! I’m such a sucker for sweets. This is still one of my favorite Katie recipes! Is your mouth watering like mine right now?
