What I Wore- countdown to 30 for 30

Here's the deal, friends.
Several months ago my friend, Fashionista and I talked about how much we love Kendi's 30 for 30 restyles. She was pregnant at the time- Fashionista- not Kendi. We decided 'one day' we would join the fun. I figured I had time to brainstorm. Well, little Miss 'I have a tiny baby and am losing weight like a crazy lady' is ready to join the 30 for 30 challenge. GULP. The challenge begins June 13th- so this is my next to last 'traditional' What I Wore Wednesday...not that I actually rocked a fabulous outfit EVERY day this week. It was another sporadic week in fashion for me.
As usual, I'm linking up with the lovely Lady who inspired me to be a super cute Mama again,
and my favorite 'local' Lady (still looking forward to a trip to Charming Charlie's!)
Nina at Momma Go Round,

Wednesday- Funny story. Last Tuesday night I was wrapping up my WIWW post last minute, like I always do, and I stumbed on Shellsea's little trick. Wearing a skirt as a dress?! BRILLIANT- this is the kind of inspiration I need for a 30 for 30 remix. SO, I decided to give it a try...immediately.
First- this week's apron. Yes. I really do wear an apron to cook every night. Cooking, chopping, prepping- I just love them. This one is from Pier One- and I wore it to make pizza for dinner.
My skirt was a little too short to wear as a dress like Shellsea, so I wore jeans, too.
skirt worn as a top- super old. love the remix
belt, brown flats-Target, Jeans-American Eagle, gold shrug- NY and Co
skinny mustard boho headband- Sugar Blossom Boutique
Gold necklace, cream bracelet-NY and Co, Green flower statement ring-Vintage Wanna BEE giveaway (whoop, whoop!)
I had to share this pic. I think I really love it.
I almost look like a model....almost.
Thursday-Make-up picture day at the Preschool- photographer for the day? That would be me. So cool! Today I was inspired by Nina's style. Fail for me. I loved how she wore her khakis cuffed. Big FAT not so cute on me. The whole outfit felt like a fail- but I had fun with it.
khakis, blue tee-Old Navy, gray/pink stripe sweater-American Eagle
Black belt, gray flower sandals-NY and Co
Little Sister wanted to be in Mommy's pictures. Love her Christmas pjs and her sweet, sweet demeanor. She picked a rose and brought it to me, then said, 'I love you owl, Mommy'
fun owl necklace and silver bow headband- Vintage Wanna BEE
Tuesday- Preschool projects and prepping for the Sew Funky Market.
My VERY first boutique/market. AH- totally, completely nervous. Gulp!
Teal maxi dress-Forever 21, black tank-American Eagle,
Red sandals, black flower belt-NY and Co, Black shrug-Belk
Red beaded necklace-Eclectic Elegance,
Feather headband-birthday gift from a friend. I'm in LOVE with is. What do you think?
Do you come over often on Wednesday to visit me? Feeling familiar with my wardrobe? GOOD! I need suggestions for my 30 for 30 re-mix. What pieces to you think would be the most versatile? Most challenging? Stretch me the most? Please feel free to leave me comments and help me out!
Happy Wednesday!

Thanks for mentioning me! I love the skirt you wore as a top and I have those same brown flats- comfy and cute! The white flower scenery makes a great backdrop for your photos.

The teal, red, and black outfit is my favorite from hair piece to sandal. That outfit is so coordinated I love it!!

OK ... let's get down to business on this 30 for 30. (And no. No, I have not started going through my closet) :/ I think you should FOR SURE put that new slouchy blue & white striped top & jeans you wore with it in the remix! And I think a dress, and a skirt that can be worn both ways are good options too :-) I need to getting working on some of my selections too - hoping this gets me back into outfitting and blogging regularly ;-)

Love the outfits... especially the last! Great pops of color.

And I'm so very happy to see my kids aren't the only ones still in Christmas PJs from time to time. :)

Looking forward to your 30 for 30 remix!

Very cute overall, but I think that you need to go by Coco Chanel's sentiment of always taking off the last thing you put on so that you don't over accessorize. Let your own beauty shine. said...

Hi! You're lovely. I enjoy that you don't take yourself seriously, me neither. I'm a mom, too, and maintaining style is a challenge in our busy lives! Just started blogging last month--it's so much fun. It's a brief moment during the day where I can be just a girl and goof-off. Your spirit is infectious and I'll be following along on bloglovin.
