What I Wore in the Wind

By now you know, last year I joined Lindsey at the Pleated Poppy in linking up with her quest to make more of an effort on herself each day.
Being a stay at home mom doesn't mean pj pants are acceptable all day fashion!
What started as making a bigger effort in my daily wardrobe at home, has become a daily fashion show of my life.
It's fun to get dressed. I'm happier. It's a beautiful quest.
Thanks for joining me for another week with Lindsey and sometimes
The wind in the desert has been NUTS this week. Bare with the pics of me blowing over.
Wednesday- Another lovely day marketing Wayside Preschool and Kindergarten.
Feels like Spring is here
Green sleeveless dress- Aeropostale, Gray leggings- Target, Brown sparkle flops- NY and Co
New cream cropped shrug and fab shell bracelet-NY and Co, belt-Forever21
earrings-NY and Co, Natural Life flower necklace- Eclectic Elegance...could this be a hint for the upcoming Birthday giveaway extravaganza? hmmm...
Thursday-more Spring weather. Started the day at the school, then Little Sister decided home was better- ie- sick to her tummy so this was my snuggle on the sofa with a sleeping little girl outfit. It seemed much cuter in real life.
Boo wind
Gray tee- American Eagle..tucked in. fail.
geometric skirt with pockets (eee!!!)- Anthropologie
multi strand necklace-Eclectic Elegance.
Man I need some lipstick- maybe I should watch for a fabulous birthday giveaway *wink*
Three cute, crochet flower pony ties- Hmmm...another hint for the b-day giveaway?
Friday- Breadwinner left first thing in the morning for a weekend hunting trip. I went back and forth for weeks on using this 3 day weekend to surprise him by refinishing our knotty pine armoire. Did ZERO prep and decided first thing Friday morning it was a go. Loaded up the girls, drove to town for paint and supplies, came home and began the madness during naps!
*yikes- not so great remote shutter shots.*
Sandy slouch tank, brown cami-Old Navy, brown capris and sandy capey/wrap-NY and Co
same Forever21 belt, scarf-Old Navy
I really looked like this most of the day. Anthro apron- sanding, stripping, priming, and mommy-ing
Saturday- working diligently in the garage painting, staining, distressing- um, and attempting to be a single Mommy. Thank GOD for the Astronaut. Love her for coming over to help!
Girls weekend.
here's a sneak peek of our hard work
Sunday-finishing up the marathon, whirlwind refnishing project, laundry, cleaning the house for Breadwinner's return. No exciting cleaning outfits.
Monday- didn't even leave the house. Colored, crafted, finished laundry, It was only yesterday and I don't even remember what I wore. WOW. Sad.
Tuesday-High of 61, windy and rainy. Snow in the mountains 15 minutes from here.
What's up with this weather? Another day at the Preschool.
Little Sister chose her own shoes and socks today. We remedied these cold piggies before we left the house. Clearly not the fashionista haha
inspired by Little Miss Momma same top (mine is black) tucked into baggy boyfriend fit khakis
black ruffled front top-Old Navy, wide leg boyfriend khakis-Gap, gray capey sweater-NY and Co
WOW- when the wind catches it just right- the entire outfit makes me look like a giant balloon head to toe. Me plus 45 pounds. Just WOW
Sad, saggy Bloom Belt at the end of the day- so cute at the beginning- still so Fabulous-Pleated Poppy
 Gorgeous rosette necklace-AlloraHandmade
Flower earrings- Oh So Sweet Petite on GroopDealz. Can't seem to find the shop now. Weird? Does anyone know this shop?
OK- so do you know what all these giveaway teasers are about?

Great post and I love your combinations of colors!

My favorite is the middle-ish one with a sort of vest/cardi with tank and cropped pants that came just b4 your decision to do the armoire. LOVE IT!
