Broken and Awwed

This morning I woke up and looked at my Dashboard- like every Wednesday morning.
I was logging in to link up my What I Wore Wednesday post to the Pleated Poppy. Since we were up a little earlier than usual, and the girls were occupied, I couldn't help but scroll through a few new posts from other bloggers.
Living in a Monsters World has been in my blog roll for a while now. Honestly, I don't remember how I found her. Maybe she found me and I found her back? Either she just made a new header or I've never looked at the blog before. How can this be possible? How can it be in my blog roll if I never remember seeing it? I really have to stop blogging so late at night-(she has a cute little blog- you should check her out). As I scrolled down her posts, I saw something so cool. I rolled right past her side bar buttons, then stopped and did a double take. SHE.HAS.MY.SHOP.BUTTON! I know, right? It was the coolest thing ever! Seeing my little button on someone else's page. She follows a friend of mine, too- which is cool. Spreading the love. Maybe that's how she found me? From my friend?
Moving on.....
Today she posted about a blog she found. One that breaks her heart.
I clicked- and now- am broken, too.
Last Friday, when we were at home complaining about croup in our house- they were at the hospital getting the news their 4 month old daughter was no longer alive.
Horrific. One minute you have a gorgeous, happy baby- the next.....
Today they bury their little girl.
She was beautiful. She loved bows.
Today, in honor of their princess, Maddie- we will wear bows....and thank God for our healthy, beautiful girls.

Okay Meagan...it's my planning time at school & I'm now bawling and have mascara running down my face. I cannot imagine what the Staat family is going through. I was reading back & didn't see any mention of what actually happened besides she quit breathing. Have you heard anything?

I didn't pack bows for the girls today but will put some on them this evening in memory of their precious daughter!

I just finished reading her blog and have finally stopped crying but I'm still not quite sure how to function. I can't imagine the pain they are going through right now.

When Cate wakes up from her nap she will be getting a bow for her hair as we, too, remember Maddie and thank God for our blessings.
